DSEi

The news that BAE, the UK’s biggest defence manufacturer, is preparing to cut 3,000 jobs reminded me that I have yet to show a few pictures from the protests against DSEi, the worlds biggest arms fair.  DSEi takes place every two years, the most recent one being two weeks ago.  The cuts in BAE’s staffing are just another example of how the market for arms isn’t honourable, it doesn’t support our economy and only acts out for profit and self interest.  Here are but a few examples of the creative protests that took place over the week, campaigning to have the DSEi arms fair shut down.

The National Gallery was the scene of a big protest because it hosted a large social event – arms traders doing deals over cocktails…

Peace, lady….

In peace.
